Drop the dough by 10 to 12 spoonfuls onto hot meat or vegetables in a boiling stew do not drop directly into liquid cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
On a floured surface roll out dough very thin with a rolling pin. Make a well in the centre and add 3 tbsp cold water mix to a dough adding more water until the dough is firm but pliable. Stir a few times to keep the stew from scorching.
30 min cook. Gently roll each between palms into a round dumpling about size of a ping pong ball. Makes 10 to 12 dumplings.
20 min ready in. Stir through the suet and parsley if using. Stir in water to form a soft dough.
