Eggnog Recipe Vanilla Bean
I try not to overwork my pancake dough so they turn out tender and fluffy.
Eggnog recipe vanilla bean. First of all take a medium size jar. Leave in the fridge to chill for at least 2 3 hours. This eggnog recipe is made non alcoholic but can easily be spiked with your favorite booze.
The whites are whipped and folded into the base creating a light and silky texture. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients whisking as you do so. Then place the tip of your sharp knife below the curled end and cut the vanilla bean through the middle of the bean lengthwise.
In a small saucepan combine the milk and cream with the vanilla bean nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix one quart egg nog with 1 cup southern comfort in the jar. Keep it in the refrigerator until you want to serve the dish.
Pour the mixture in a glass. 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg plus more for garnish. This traditional recipe uses whole eggs.
Now your southern vanilla spice eggnog is ready to take. Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan. 1 cup 240ml heavy or double cream.
Cut off the straight end of the vanilla bean. Gradually add one cup of the hot milk mixture to the egg yolks beating with a wire whisk on low speed. 3 4 cup 175ml bacardi dark rum or bourbon.
