Recipe Chicken Pot Pie
Place lid on simmer gently on medium low for 15 minutes do not boil can make milk split.
Recipe chicken pot pie. Saute the vegetables until the onions become translucent then add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Step 3 shred the the chicken. Ease into ungreased 9 inch 2 quart glass baking dish.
Step 1 cook the chicken. Bring to a very gentle simmer over medium heat add chicken and thyme. Heat oven to 425 f.
Cook 2 minutes stirring frequently until tender. Step 2 reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes. Roll 1 pie crust into 13 inch square.
Remove chicken shred or dice don t worry if inside a bit uncooked. In a large pot or dutch oven melt the butter and saute the onions over medium low heat for 10 to 15. Cover pot and set poaching liquid aside.
Melt butter in a large skillet. Saute the chicken until golden brown then remove from the pot with a slotted spoon and set aside. While the chicken is cooling continue to boil the remaining water and vegetables in the pot.
How to make chicken pot pie. Add cold water until just covered and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove the chicken from the pot and let cool for 15 minutes.
