Dumplings Recipe With Butter
Using a coarse grater grate your cold butter into the flour.

Using your fingers gently rub the butter into the flour until it begins to resemble breadcrumbs. Add the butter and milk and stir using a fork or a rubber scraper until well combined. Cut in the cold butter with a pastry blender till mixture resembles coarse oatmeal.
After 20 minutes remove the lid and increase the temperature back to medium heat. Blend lightly don t overmix. Stir in milk to make a soft dough.
