Baked Acorn Squash Recipe With Maple Syrup
Pour in enough water to cover the base of the dish.
Baked acorn squash recipe with maple syrup. Scoop out and discard seeds from squash. Sprinkle squash with salt pepper and brown sugar and bake until soft and golden brown about 30 40 minutes. Meanwhile put the syrup and butter in a pan over a low heat until the butter has melted.
Place cut side down in a 13x9 in. Turn the squash cut sides up or flip over the wedges and spoon some of the maple butter mixture over each one making sure the cut sides are well doused. Place tablespoon butter and tablespoon maple syrup in the cavity of each squash.
Place the halves cut side up on a small baking sheet and sprinkle with salt. After 15 minutes remove your acorn squash from the oven and place 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup in the center of each half. Bake in the heated oven until fork tender about 45 minutes.
Bake roast at 425ยบ f for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and plate. Bake for 25 minutes.
Place 1 2 tablespoon butter and 1 2 tablespoon maple syrup in the cavity of each squash. Brush squash slices with maple and sugar liquid and place on oiled baking sheet. Continue to roast the acorn squash basting it with any syrup that pools on the baking sheet at least twice until the squash is glazed and bronzed 5 to 15 minutes more depending on the thickness of the slices.
Prepare your acorn squash as directed above. Split the squash into thirds and remove the seeds. Brush the cut sides with olive oil and sprinkle the squash with 3 teaspoons kosher salt and 1 teaspoon.
