Recipe Acorn Squash Crock Pot
Sprinkle apples in and around the squash about 1 4 cup will fit piled up on each squash.
Recipe acorn squash crock pot. Cut acorn squash in half and remove seeds. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the top of the soft flesh. Slice of butter in the middle of each acorn squash half.
Using a garlic press mince garlic cloves over squash. Add the squash slices drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the thyme. Add cup raisins or dried cranberries to middle of each squash half.
In a small bowl combine brown sugar and spice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place 2 tablespoons of butter in each half of the squash.
Wrap each squash half individually in heavy duty aluminum foil. Place squash cut side up in bottom of crockpot. Add a 1 tbsp.
Place squash slices flesh side up in slow cooker. Cut each acorn squash into 6 slices and remove seeds. Drizzle olive oil and then balsamic vinegar over squash pieces.
Cover and cook on high for 3 4 hours or until they are fork tender. With a sharp kitchen knife score the flesh of the inside of the squash all over being careful not to pierce the skin. Cut off pointy tip of the bottom of squash so each half and stand up without tipping over and place both halves in slow cooker.
