Recipe For Potato Leek Soup Slow Cooker
Remove the bay leaf.
Recipe for potato leek soup slow cooker. Cook on high 4 hours. Cover and cook on the low setting until potatoes are very tender about 8 hours. Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
Remove from the heat and set aside. Add potatoes leeks and chicken broth to the crock pot in this order. Slow cooker leek and potato soup.
Blend the soup with an immersion blender until smooth. Add the leeks and saute until softened stirring frequently and very lightly browning 5 to 7 minutes. 20 min cook.
Add potatoes vegetable broth salt bay leaf and thyme to the slow cooker. Add the vegetables to the slow cooker along with the leeks. Taste and adjust seasonings.
This leek and potato soup has a preparation time of just a few minutes chopping and then all the ingredients go in the pot for a long slow cook. Add the leeks garlic potatoes bay leaf white wine and the chicken stock to the slow cooker. Ladle soup into a liquidiser and blend until smooth.
Grab leeks cut off and discard all but an inch or two of the dark green area and trim off the end of the white area. Rinse well to remove hidden grit then add to the crockpot along with peeled whole garlic cloves. Sprinkle flour over and toss until well coated.
