Recipe Asparagus Filo Pastry
Snap off tough ends of asparagus.
Recipe asparagus filo pastry. Serve hot with balsamic glaze. Brush the tips of the asparagus and the top of the pastry with olive oil and place the rolls on a baking paper lined sheet pan seam side down bake until golden brown approximately 15 minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet and brush with a little more of the butter.
Cover remaining phyllo lightly to keep dough from drying out. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f. Position an asparagus spear on the bottom edge of one of the filo rectangles and roll it up.
Reserve 1 stack for later use. Preheat the oven to 200c on fan bake. Repeat for the remaining filo and asparagus.
Preheat oven to 375 f. Lay out a single sheet of filo pastry. Preheat an oven to 190 c gas 5.
Lay a piece of asparagus in one corner. Reserve remaining dough for a later use. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus.
Unwrap the phyllo and cut the stack in half lengthwise. Roll 2 asparagus spears up with the prepared filo and place seam side down on a baking tray. Cover the phyllo with a damp towel to keep it from drying out.
