Recipe For Apple Pie Jelly
Slowly stir in sugar and bring mixture back to a rolling boil over high heat.
Recipe for apple pie jelly. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Remove mixture from heat and skim off foam with a metal spoon. After a while the apples will start to release their juices.
Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat stirring constantly. Boil for 1 full minute. I prefer cinnamon and allspice 1 8 tsp to 1 4 tsp of each.
Wipe jars dry and fill with apple jelly. Stir in pectin and bring to a full rolling boil stirring constantly. Save remaining apple mixture for another use or discard stir in sugar and butter.
Add sugars and cinnamon and bring back to a boil stirring constantly for one minute. In a large stockpot combine the apples sugar cinnamon nutmeg and cloves. Slowly stir in the sugar and bring back to a rolling boil over high heat.
Measure 4 1 2 cups apples. Remove from heat and skim off foam if there is any. Bring juice to a rolling boil over high heat until pectin is dissolved.
Boil for one full minute i still prefer 220 degrees on the candy thermometer. Then add 3 4 cups sugar and spices to taste. Cover and cook slowly until tender.
