Transfer the onion mixture to a blender or food processor.

Next add the tomatillos jalapenos garlic and onion and stir until softened about 5 8 minutes once softened add in the cumin chicken broth green chiles and cilantro and simmer for about five minutes. Cook until the onions are soft but not browned. Add the broth tomatillos cumin chili powder and green chilies and bring to a boil.
