Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe Leeks
Soak the noodles in hot water for 5 minutes then drain and rinse with cold water.
Chicken noodle soup recipe leeks. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil about 3 minutes. Cut the root and green ends from the leeks slice in half and then chop into pieces. Remove the meat from the chicken and chop into pieces.
Add the chopped leeks to a bowl filled with water. Put the pan over high heat and bring to a boil. Strain the chicken cooking liquid discarding the flavourings and skim off any fat that rises to the top.
Skim any fat off the top of the strained broth and discard. Remove chicken from bones and skin. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
Pour in the chicken stock and cover. Remove chicken from broth and cool slightly. Add this and the green beans to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
Heat all ingredients except leeks to boiling in large stockpot or dutch oven. Fry for about 8 minutes or until the leeks are tender and the ginger and garlic smell aromatic. Chop the remaining parsley leaves and set aside.
Stir in the parsley spinach and broken pasta pieces. Reduce the heat to a simmer and poach the chicken until cooked through about 10 minutes. Add the leeks celery carrots bay leaf salt and pepper to taste and cook until the vegetables are soft about 20 minutes.
