Green Bean Casserole Recipe Bechamel
Place in casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray.
Green bean casserole recipe bechamel. Meanwhile in a 12 inch skillet melt 4 tbsp butter on medium. Heat the green beans according to package directions. Whisk in the flour until smooth.
Stir in the green beans and cook for another 3 4 mins until the beans turn bright green. Whisk in the flour and cook whisking constantly for 2 min until flour has darkened slightly in color and mixture is smooth. Bake uncovered 20 30 minutes or until heated through.
Bake in pre heated oven until casserole bubbles. Slowly add the milk whisking constantly to smooth out any lumps. Scoop out the veg onto a plate.
Heat the green beans according to package directions. Stir in chicken stock and cream. Add mushrooms to onion mixture remaining in skillet and cook about 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
Pour the green bean mixture into a large buttered casserole dish mine holds 2 quarts. Step 1 heat 1 tbsp of the butter and the oil in a large pan and fry the mushrooms for 10 15 mins until golden. Combine bread crumbs with reserved onion mixture.
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes. Add milk dried onions salt and pepper. Mix defrosted well drained green beans with homemade creamy mushroom sauce.
